Fortel is a family-owned business founded in 1998 by Shinda Nijjer.
The business has now been established for more than 20 years and is one of the UK’s largest suppliers of labour in the rail and civil engineering sectors.
The company started off as a small group of labourers and now employs over 2000 staff.
Fortel’s company motto is ‘by improving our workforce, we’re investing in yours’.
Sat Nijjer is now the owner of the company and joined the business as operations director in 2005.
He has a BSc in Computer Science and a career in investment banking with the US company, Bear Stearns.
He became chief executive in 2012 as is the second generation of the family to lead Fortel.
He is involved in the economic development of Walsall Borough through a seat the Walsall Economic Board an Alumni Member of The Sunday Times Fast Track 100 and Vice-Chairman of the Asian Sports Foundation.
Sat Nijjer works hard to develop and improve the company and its services.
